Summary of Barchi 

Barchi is a village in the province of Pesaro-Urbino. Barchi has about 1000 inhabitants 17.3 km2.

There is a supermarket, a butcher, hairdresser, pharmacy, bank and post office and there are still a few small shops. In addition, Barchi has 2 bars.

In the vicinity of Barchi there are many beautiful villages and towns where you can take beautiful walks, enjoy good food in one of the many restaurants or spend a lazy day on the beach, all within half an hour from La Giravolta.

The beaches
Half an hour from La Giravolta are the beaches of Fano, Torette, Marotta and Senigallia. Almost the entire coastline between these towns is lined with hotels, restaurants and a number of beach bars where you can hire deckchairs, sunbeds and parasols for a day or a week. Many of these beaches have been awarded the Bandiera Blu, a quality mark given to clean beaches. Further away are the beaches of Pesaro and the beaches along the Monte San Bartolo Park. Pesaro a strung ribbon of chairs and umbrellas belonging to the beach tents and along the rocky and steep coast in nature quieter beaches without entertainment.

A little further away, just below Ancona, you will find the nature of the Conero with white chalk cliffs and beautiful coves. In the hills of the Conero and the coastal towns such as Sirolo and Numana.

The villages
Around Barchi you will find a number of villages such as Orciano and Mondavio with nice restaurants. Both in Barchi itself and in the surrounding villages you will find a supermarket and many other small shops in each village, one or more bars and in summer each village has its own summer festivals which always end with a beautiful fireworks display.

Fossombrone, 10 km from Barchi, is an ancient Roman town where on a warm day you can go shopping under the arcades.

Walking and cycling
The Marche region is ideal for walking. Near Barchi you can make beautiful walks and bike rides. The trails (Sentieri) are easily accessible and clearly signposted. We have several maps of the routes available.

Skiing and Snowboarding
Skiing is just half an hour's drive from La Giravolta on Monte Catria. There are all new facilities such as new lifts on the 9 km of slopes! Of course you can enjoy delicious Le Marche snacks and drinks at the restaurant on the slopes. Skis and snowboards can be hired on site.
